Refugio (2025) - Chris Larumbe

Christian Larumbe is a multi-genre musician with a deep-rooted passion ignited from a young age by his artistic family, including the renowned Arozamena actors and composer Juan S. Garrido (Pelea de Gallos, Noche de Luna en Xalapa)

With a strong foundation in operatic performance and contemporary classical composition, Christian has produced, performed and collaborated with a diverse range of multicultural artists around the world. His musical style is a fusion of influences that incorporate elements of classical, jazz, funk, prog-rock, Afro-Cuban, Regional Mexican, and avant-garde.

Recorded at the legendary Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, "Refugio" showcases Christian's eclectic musical style. The album benefits from the creativity and artistic sensitivity of fellow composers Gustavo Cortiñas and Kitt Lyles, both accomplished multi-genre artists in their own right and co-producers of Refugio.

Featuring prominent soloists from the vibrant Chicago music scene, such as Roy McGrath and Emily Kuhn, "Refugio" delivers a fresh and innovative take on Latin American music.
